Oral Exams & New Patient Exams in Vancouver

At Wesbrook Village Dental Centre, we welcome new patients to our practice and recommend routine dental exams at least once a year. This way, you can take charge of your oral health and ensure your teeth and gums remain healthy.

What to Expect During Your Dental Exam

Your dentist will inquire about your medical and dental history to understand more about your general health. They will then visually examine your mouth and take X-rays to assess what is happening below the gum line. Your dental exam will also include an oral cancer screening where the dentist will visually inspect the mouth tissues and palpate them to check for any abnormal growth.

Getting Treatment After Your Exam

If your doctor identifies any dental issues during your exam, they will discuss the problem with you and suggest a treatment plan. We believe in educating our patients so they can make informed decisions about their oral health, and we’re happy to answer your questions so you can feel comfortable with your decision.
