With today’s advances in dental technology, you can expect to receive a high level of patient care for all your oral health needs. Our practice uses the i-Tero scanner, which offers highly detailed 3D imaging as an enhanced diagnostic tool as well as dental lasers for more efficient and comfortable care.
iTero Scanner
The i-Tero scanner is a 3D imaging technology that takes detailed images of the inside of your mouth. The scanner is useful for assessing how the teeth are rooted in the jaws and highlights alignment issues that may need attention. Digital images are rendered in a matter of minutes, improving the level of oral care.
Dental Lasers
Dental lasers are designed to make treatments more efficient and comfortable for the patient. They are often used to reshape the gums and remove bacteria during a root canal. They can also be used to remove decay and prepare the enamel for the placement of a dental filling. Dental lasers offer the benefit of reducing bleeding during treatment and help to limit the occurrence of an infection.
VELscope
VELscope is an enhanced oral cancer screening system which we use to detect abnormal cell activity in the mouth tissues. This is used in addition to a visual check of the mouth tissues assessing for ant any abnormal or discolouration of the mouth tissues.
