General Dentistry

We believe in taking preventative measures to maintain your oral health and provide treatments to keep your teeth and gums healthy for the long term. We are here to support you. We recommend visiting your dentist annually so they can identify issues and address them promptly to maintain a healthy mouth.

Gum Grafting

If you suffer receding or thinning gums that are affecting the stability of your teeth, you may benefit from gum grafting. Gum grafting involves covering the exposed teeth roots and adding volume to the gum. Most gum grafting procedures take a couple of weeks from start to finish and are generally very successful in restoring the gums.

Oral Cancer Screening

When you come in for a dental check-up, your dentist will also conduct an oral cancer screening to check for any cancerous cells. They will do a visual inspection to identify any unusual growths or discolouration and palpate the mouth tissues to feel for any abnormal lumps. We also use dental technology called VELscope to detect cancerous growths that may not be visible to the naked eye.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are widely used to protect the teeth from decay. The process involves applying a thin plastic coating to the chewing surface of the teeth. This helps to prevent food particles from becoming stuck in the small grooves of the teeth and causing dental decay. Dental sealants are recommended for children whose adult teeth have grown, but they are also beneficial for adults to maintain the health of their teeth.

Dental X-Rays

Dental X-rays are commonly used to understand more about your oral health and detect problems that may be present below the gum line. We use digital X-rays in our practice as they provide detailed images for more accurate diagnosis and assist us in developing a more comprehensive treatment plan.

Root Canals

When cavities develop in the enamel (the hard white surface of the tooth), it provides a passage for bacteria to enter the soft dental pulp inside, causing a tooth infection. In such cases, your dentist will treat the tooth with a root canal.

Teeth Extractions

While our dental team always aims to preserve your natural teeth, there may be situations when an extraction is unavoidable to maintain your oral health. This may include cases where teeth are damaged or severely decayed or when your wisdom teeth come in.
